Exotic Bouganvilla is back from Tony Bugio

by Jacqueline D'Elia on February 17, 2009

Tony Bugio is back! He and his wife Anna have opened up a small nursery in West Houston again. After selling his nursery on Highway 6 in Houston a few years ago, he continued selling trees and shrubs from his farm in Pattison TX.

I’ve visited the farm many times and one of the most beautiful images I remember, was the greenhouses filled with break-taking Bouganvilla plants.

Tony has a way with these thorny exotic plants. He’s got baskets brimming with color combinations that get us gardeners drooling.  He showed me a new item he’s created. It is a Rose Pyramid. While not blooming yet, I can only imagine what these will look it when they’re blooming. I’ll be sure to stop by in 30 days to take some more photos for everyone to enjoy.

Well if you are looking for something spectular, go and see him. He is on the north side of Westminster Rd just west of Eldridge. Discount Trees and Shrubs. 832-328-0928

Tony is back! I bought six huge, grown out of Tony’s biggest containers, sycamore trees from Tony. That’s been about four years ago. I picked them up from his Pattison tree farm. Those trees are over 30 feet tall today.
