Freak Hail Storm Sunday

by Jacqueline D'Elia on March 16, 2009

March 15th, Sunday morning around 11am in West Houston, a freaky thing happened… HAIL! Without warning except for a few claps of thunder, marble sized hail fell like a winter snow storm. The streets were covered in white ice balls! It lasted about 5 minutes. Even the stray cat that lives in our neighborhood took shelter in the covered area of my front door.

Oh dear!!

Yesterday we had the largest, wettest snowflakes I have ever seen. Lucky for us they melted away as soon as they hit the ground.

On March 5th and March 12 I put this ad in the Brookshire Newspaper -
“Rainmaker”
Send me $500.00 and . . .
I’ll make it rain a minimum of 1 inch at your place within 30 days. Guaranteed OR I’ll return your money.

It rained all over Texas, now I see I brought hail and snow.
