Watch Bob Grow! While it doesn’t look like Bob has made any progress this past week, take a closer look at the second photo. Bob has spent the entire week building the next set of leaves. This area is called the apical meristem. The apical meristem is a group of cells that retain the ability to continue divisions, forming new cells continuously as the plant grows. This PRIMARY growth is responsible for growth in height. Bob is just about ready to open the next set of leaves.
Until next week!
